ලබුනෝරුවකන්ද ආරණ්‍ය සේනාසනය ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ අනුරාධපුර දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ, තිරප්පනය ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම් කොට්ඨාසයට අයත් ලබුනෝරුව ග්‍රාමසේවා වසමෙහි ලබුනෝරුවකන්ද ආශ්‍රිතව පිහිටා ඇත.

Our hermitage is the brainchild of the monks of Labunoruwakandha Aranya Senasanaya, located in Labunoruwa Grama Niladhari Division of Thirappane Divisional Secretariate of Anuradhapura District, in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka.

இலங்கையின் வடமத்திய மாகாணத்தில், அனுராதபுரம் மாவட்டத்தின், திரப்பனை பிரதேச செயலகத்திற்குட்பட்ட லாபுனொறுவ கிராம உத்தியோகத்தர் பிரிவில் அமைந்துள்ள லாபுனொறுவகந்த மடாலய பிக்குகளின் சிந்தனையில் உருவானதுதான் எமது மடாலயம்.

1999 වර්ෂයෙහි මුල් භාගයෙහි භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේලා සිවු නමක් විසින් ආරම්භ කරන ලදී. ආරම්භක සාමාජික හිමිවරුන් අතරට අයත් පූජ්‍යපාද මාන්කඩවල සුදස්සන ස්වාමීන් වහන්සේ, රාජකීය පණ්ඩිත, ශාස්ත්‍රපති, පූජ්‍යපාද මාන්කඩවල නන්දරතන ස්වාමීන් වහන්සේ යන හිමිවරුන් වර්තමානයෙහි මෙහි අනුශාසක පදවිය දරන අතර, උන්වහන්සේලාගේ ශිෂ්‍යවර ශාස්ත්‍රපති, රාජකීය පණ්ඩිත, පූජ්‍යපාද කොත්මලේ කුමාරකස්සප ස්වාමීන් වහන්සේ සේනාසනාධිපති ධුරය දරමින් කටයුතු කරති.

In the year 1999, the Forest Monastery of Labunoruwakandha was started by four monks., Venerable Mankadawela Sudhassana Thero, Venerable Mankadawela Nandarathana Thero, Venerable Sumanasara Thero and Venerable Gnanatilake thero. Presently, both Venerable Sudhassana and Venerable Nandaratana theros are among the Senior Preceptors and Advisors of the Monastery.

1999 ஆம் ஆண்டு லபுனொருவகந்த வன மடாலயம் வணக்கத்திற்குரிய மன்கடவெல சுதஸ்ஸன தேரர், வணக்கத்திற்குரிய மன்கடவெல நந்தரதன தேரர், வணக்கத்திற்குரிய சுமனசார தேரர் மற்றும் வணக்கத்திற்குரிய ஞானதிலக தேரர் ஆகிய நான்கு பிக்குகளால் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டது. தற்போது, ​​வணக்கத்திற்குரிய சுதஸ்ஸன மற்றும் வணக்கத்திற்குரிய நந்தரதன தேரர்கள் இருவரும் மடத்தின் மூத்த ஆசான்கள் மற்றும் ஆலோசகர்களில் உள்ளனர்.

සම්බුද්ධශාසනයේ උන්නතිය හා සුරක්ෂාව සඳහා මෙම සේනාසනය විසින් කාලීන සමාජ තත්වයන් හා අනාගතය විශ්ලේෂණය කරමින් එළඹෙන නිගමනයන්ට අනුව පුළුල් වැඩපිළිවෙල දියත් කරනු ලබයි. ලෝකයට ඉතා වටිනා උරුමයක් වන ත්‍රිපිටක ධර්මය හා බෞද්ධ ඉතිහාසය විකෘති වන්නට නොදී ආරක්ෂා කිරීම අපගේ ප්‍රධාන කටයුත්තක් වේ. මෙම වටිනා ධර්ම සාහිත්‍යය හැදෑරීමට උනන්දුව ඇති කිරීම සඳහා ත්‍රිපිටක පොත් කට්ටල නොමිලේ බෙදා දීම සිදු කෙරෙන අතර, වඩාත් පහසුකම් සහිතව ත්‍රිපිටකය කියවා ගැනීම සඳහා නූතන තාක්ෂණය භාවිත කරමින් ලොව ප්‍රථම වරට ත්‍රිපිටක ටැබ් නිර්මාණය කොට මහා පරිමාණයෙන් භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේලා වෙත නොමිලයේ බෙදා දීම ද අප විසින් සිදු කරනු ලබයි. ගිහි පින්වතුන් උදෙසා ද ත්‍රිපිටක ටැබ් ලබාගැනීමට අවස්ථාව ඉදිරියේ දී සැලසෙනු ඇත. ලොවපුරා පවතින ඉපැරණි පුස්කොල micro film කිරීමේ දැවැන්ත වැඩපිළිවෙල මේ වන විට සිදු කරමින් පතින අතර එම ඡායා පිටපත් අධ්‍යයනය සඳහා ලොවපුරා පර්යේෂණ කාර්යාවලියෙහි නියුතු විද්‍යාර්ථීන්ට අවස්ථා සලසා දීම නුදුරෙහි දී ම සිදු කරනු ලබයි. තව ද අපගේ ඉපැරණි සාම්ප්‍රදායික උරුමයක් වන පුස්කොල පොත්කරණය අනාගතයට ද උරුම කොට දීම සඳහා සාම්ප්‍රදායික පුස්කොලපොත්කරණය ද සිදු කරමින් පවතින අතර, වඩාත් ඵලදායී ලෙස ත්‍රිපිටකය සමාජගත කිරීම සඳහා ත්‍රිපිටකය, අට්ඨකථා හා ටීකා පරිගණක ගත කිරීම ද මේ වන විට සිදු කරමින් පවතී. එසේ ම භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේලාගේ ධර්මවිනයඥානය වර්ධනය කිරීම හා උද්‍යෝගීබව වර්ධනය කිරීම සඳහා නේවාසික හා පුළුල් වැඩසටහන් සංවිධානය කිරීම ද සිදු කරනු ලබයි.
දෙස්විදෙස් බෞද්ධ සැදහැතියන් උදෙසා පොහෝදින වැඩසටහන්, ධර්ම දේශනා කිරීම, භාවනා වැඩසටහන් දියත් කිරීම ආදි කටයුතු ඔස්සේ සාමකාමී දැහැමි ජනසමාජයක් ගොඩනැංවීම උදෙසා කටයුතු සිදු කෙරේ. දිළිඳු පවුල් සඳහා ආධාර ලබා දීම හා එවැනි පවුල්වල දරුවන් සඳහා අධ්‍යාපන පහසුකම් ලබා දීම ද සිදු කරනු ලැබේ. ජාතික අපදා තත්වයන්හි දී අවතැන් හා අසරණ වූ ජනතාව උදෙසා විවිධ ආධාර උපකාර සැපයීම ද අපගේ කාර්ය අතර වේ.
පරිසර සංරක්ෂණය සඳහා වාර්ෂික රුක්රෝපණ වැඩසටහන් දියත් කිරීම, වනාන්තර හා වනසතුන් ආරක්ෂා කරගැනීම සඳහා ජනතාව දැනුවත් කිරීම මෙන් ම ප්‍රායෝගිකව ම මැදිහත් වීම ද සිදු කෙරේ.
වනසතුන්ගෙන් පිරුණු සුන්දර පරිසරයක් හා දැහැමි සිතුම් පැතුම්වලින් යුක්ත සාමකාමී ජනසමාජයක් බිහි කිරීම සඳහා මං තැනීම අපගේ අපේක්ෂාවයි.

“සියලු පව් නොකිරීම ද කුසල් උපදවීම ද තම සිත දමනය කිරීම ද යන මෙය සියලු බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේලාගේ අනුශාසනයයි”.

The Paramaththa Foundation has taken the responsibility of preservation, protection and upliftment the Buddha Sasana, a long-term conservation practice for the benefit of all those who seek refuge in Dhamma, assisted by the analysis of present existing conditions as well as the challenges encountered in future.
One of the important objectives of this exercise is the protection and preservation of the invaluable National Heritage, the ‘Thripitaka’ and ‘Buddhist History’. In order to facilitate the privilege of having access to these valuable knowledge, free distribution of Thripitaka Texts and Thripitaka Tabs for the monks are being carried out by the Foundation. Development of Thripitaka Tab is an innovative step taken by Paramaththa Foundation, for the benefit of student and practicing monks. This facility is to be extended towards the Lay Srawakas (followers) in future and the plans are currently underway.
Another major project of the Paramaththa Foundation is the inception and activation of Digitising Ancient Sinhalese Palm Leaf Manuscripts held by the libraries in different parts of the world so that researchers, scholars, monastics and all interested parties of Buddha’s Dhamma get the free access to these precious documents of Buddha’s wisdom. This is an ongoing project.
Further, within the monastery premises, ‘Paramaththa’ runs residential programmes to disseminate the knowledge in Dhamma among local and international monastics and the Laity. These programmes are extended towards a wider community via zoom technology, YouTube, radio and television and are not limited to Dhamma sessions including Sutta Discussions, Bhavana programmes, Q & A Sessions, Transference of Merits and Invoking of Blessings for the audiences of both local and international.
Village developmental programmes for economic relief, empowerment of the people and providing educational facilities to children are another aspect of the services rendered by the Paramaththa Foundation, at a local level. In order to carry out these programmes, Paramaththa liaise with governmental and non-governmental organisations, individuals getting assistance in the form of advice, equipment, technical know-how, financial support, by going through a SWOT (Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis in team work.
Conservation of environment encompassing wild life and natural vegetation, launching annual tree planting projects are some of the activities the Foundation gets involved with the villagers and the village temples. These will enhance the survival of the natural environment and promote a just society endowed by nature with the remarkable gifts of the mind and body, who appreciates, nurtures and values the many gifts they receive from the environment.
